Oxford Union Controversy: Pt. Satish K. Sharma Speaks Out

Debate Cancelled, Narrative Twisted

Date: 06/12/2025

Dear Sanatanis of the World,

We are pleased to share exciting updates from the Global Hindu Federation as we continue to uphold and promote Sanatana Dharma across the globe.

Does the Pakistan High Commission in London pull the strings of the Oxford Union?

The Oxford Union recently became the centre of controversy after a scheduled debate on the motion This House Believes That India’s Policy Towards Pakistan Is a Populist Strategy Sold as Security Policy.” was abruptly cancelled. The pakistan high commission dominated Oxford Union deploys the same shoot and scoot policies of the pakistani army.

Presented by Pt. Satish K. Sharma, the accompanying video calls out the false narrative, clarifies the motion, explains the Indian team’s refusal to debate an empty chair, and leaves the final verdict to you. Click here for more details.

Honouring Pt. Satish K. Sharma

Pt. Satish K. Sharma has been honoured with the Brahman Bhushan Award by the World Brahman Federation (Canada). The award recognises his outstanding dedication and commitment to promoting Brahmanical values, illuminating the world with the wisdom of Vedic philosophy, and advancing the deeper civilisational knowledge of Sanatana Dharma.

His work continues to inspire communities globally and strengthens the cultural foundations we collectively uphold.

Holding the BBC to account

The Global Hindu Federation believes it is time to address the continuing bias and misrepresentation that the BBC directs towards India and its leadership. The same selective lens once applied to President Donald Trump appears again in its portrayal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and modern India.

For years, the BBC’s coverage has reflected outdated perspectives, often overlooking the complexity and progress of contemporary India. Such narratives have shaped global opinion in ways that do not do justice to the nation or to Hindu communities around the world.

Our documentary BBC On Trial brings together facts, expert views, and community voices to examine how this imbalance has developed and why accountability in global media matters.
